Applications for the 2026/27 season are closed. The next intake opens in September 2027.

How selection works

Form
One general form for all departments, so each person can be placed where they fit best and where they are most needed.

Interview
The department leads review the applications and the secretary messages you on WhatsApp to arrange a short interview.

Answer
A few days later you get the answer and, if you are in, the department you start in.
Questions
- When do applications open?
- Every September, at the start of the academic year, coinciding with the welcome day. If a year is short of members, a second round opens in late January or February, after exams. Each round stays open for two to three weeks.
- What are the requirements?
- Those in the statutes. Being a UCLM student, being of legal age and being under 30. Your degree and what you already know do not matter. Availability and initiative do.
- How much time does it take?
- With 5 or 6 hours a week per person, the project works, and no more is asked. Those who take it seriously end up giving it as much time as a course.
- Is there a fee?
- No.
- Can I join outside the application period?
- No. The only way in is through the application round.
- What if I want to fly?
- The pilot is not a department. You join one of the four and then have an interview with the lead pilot.
